The natural atmospheres on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula have always fascinated people. The matt gold glittering waves of the Baltic Sea, a summer afternoon at the Bodden harbor when the green reeds sway in the water and in autumn white fog fields hanging over the National Park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. The unique landscape with dunes, sandy beaches, coastal forests and reed belts and the numerous migratory birds that rest here every year make the peninsula a popular hotspot for photographers.
Anyone interested in photography is in Zingst just right: exhibitions, excursions and workshops take place here all year round. The absolute highlight of the year is the environmental photo festival "horizonte zingst", which takes place annually at the beginning of June. It is a meeting place for photo experts and photo enthusiasts from all over the world and offers a diverse program over ten days. The Max Hünten House is the number one contact point on Fischland-Darß-Zingst for Photographers. Every year, renowned photographers offer photo workshops here for beginners and professional photographers: Shoot unique pictures of the crane flight or the deer rut, learn the basics of image composition or the best tricks of image editing and much more. Cameras and the necessary equipment can be rented on site. There is also a professional fine art printing studio where you can print your pictures in any size. In the library you can also borrow or buy books about the wide spectrum of photography.
