By train and bus into nature

Just take a breath, lose yourself in the depths of unspoiled nature and enjoy the silence: Biosphere reserves, national parks and nature parks are among Germany's most popular destinations and, as sensitive natural areas, require special protection at the same time.

The fact that tourism and environmental protection do not have to be mutually exclusive is shown by "Destination nature", a cooperation between the three major German environmental organizations Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND), Naturschutzbund Deutschland (NABU) and Verkehrsclub Deutschland (VCD) with Deutsche Bahn.

For travel to 21 national parks, nature parks and biosphere reserves in Germany, the railroad offers comfortable and environmentally friendly travel by train. The protected nature destinations, in turn, offer programs for active vacationers of all ages. And on site, guest passes for local public transportation often complement the sustainable mobility concept.
