Timmendorfer Strand is one of the most popular seaside resorts on the German Baltic Sea coast - anyone who has been there once will not want to leave again so soon.

By train to Timmendorfer Strand: Plan arrival

A sandy beach almost four kilometers longwhich also slopes gently into the clean sea and is thus well suited for bathing for small children - this is of course the main reason why Timmendorfer Strand is a vacation hit (not only) for families. But there are 1001 other qualities. The rich and famous of the republic like to come here just as much as parents with their kids, as the seaside resort is surrounded by a touch of noblesse - chic boutiques and cool restaurants and bistros like the "Café Wichtig" are great for seeing and being seen. It's also a good place to watch the German beach volleyball championships, which are held here every year. Or do some sports yourself, such as sailing, surfing, stand-up paddling and diving, or do yoga, Zumba or Pilates, right on the beach, of course. Later, you can just hang out again. In the Buddelbar, for example, with its casual lounge islands and cool sounds, or in a cozy sleeping beach chair - which can be rented for the whole night.

Good connection by trainFrom Hamburg to Timmendorfer Strand the train takes just under 45 minutes, from Lübeck only about 15 minutes.
