Rail travel is climate protection

On long-distance services, you can travel to Rhineland-Palatinate with 100 percent green electricity from all over Germany, relaxed and without traffic jams. Within the state, regional transport will get you to your destination comfortably, easily and in a climate-friendly way.

Our tip

With the InterCity and the ICE you can travel relaxed to Mainz or Koblenz. From Hamburg and North Rhine-Westphalia, for example, there are hourly connections to Koblenz. From there, you can continue your journey by regional train, e.g. to the Middle Rhine Valley, the Lahn and the Moselle. The beautiful Rheinhessen and the Hunsrück are optimally accessible via Mainz.
