Rail travel is climate protection

On long-distance services, you can travel to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with 100 percent green electricity from all over Germany, relaxed and without traffic jams. Within the state, regional transport will get you to your destination comfortably, easily and in a climate-friendly way.

Our tip

From all over Germany there are InterCity and ICE connections via Berlin to Rügen. You can take the ICE directly from Munich via Erfurt, Leipzig and Stralsund to the Baltic resort of Binz. A new summer connection will also take you from Stuttgart via Würzburg, Kassel and Berlin to the island of Rügen from July 31. There will also be a 2-hourly InterCity service from Dresden via the Mecklenburg Lake District to Berlin and on to Rostock Warnemünde on the Baltic coast.
