Natural oasis Gustow - Nordic luxury

The ships gently rock in the small marina. Through the open sliding doors, apart from the gentle sloshing of the waves, all you can hear is the wind brushing against the reeds. In the luxurious shore houses of the Natural Oasis Gustow you will experience a quiet vacation, very close to nature.

The vacation village is located in a small lagoon, in the south of the island of Rügen. With a mix of glass, natural materials and design classics from the 20th century, the wooden houses are luxurious and unobtrusive at the same time. With 110 square meters of space, they can accommodate up to six people - ideal for a getaway with friends or a vacation with the whole family. But there are also plenty of retreats for a nice time for two. For example, in the cozy lounge corner on the balcony or during a joint boat trip to one of the neighboring bays.

Tree house at Schwerin Zoo - A guest of Humboldt

The howl of a wolf breaks through the darkness, through the open windows you can hear the soft grunts of peccary pigs searching the ground with their snouts. A night in the Schwerin Zoo is a special experience.

As befits a true adventurer, you'll sleep in the tree house of explorer Alexander von Humboldt. The 40-square-meter accommodation is lovingly designed, has a roof terrace that is reached via a steep staircase, and offers space for up to six people with three sleeping alcoves.

The special thing: Overnight guests can also explore the zoo outside opening hours. For example, during an exclusive evening safari, where the nocturnal animals can be observed, or during a morning foray before the zoo opens.

Time out in Zislow - overnight stay in wooden barrel

Relaxing in the hammock on the large wooden terrace and enjoying the sunset over Lake Plauer See in the evening snuggled up in the soft bed: an overnight stay in the large wooden barrels on the Camping Two Lakes is almost like camping - only much more comfortable.

The equipment is simple: in the wooden barrel there is a big soft bed and storage space, in front of it you will find a wooden terrace with garden furniture and a hammock. The special thing about the barrels are the large panoramic windows, which give you the feeling of sleeping in the middle of nature. A total of 16 large larch wood barrels are spread around the beautiful nature campsite. From some you can only see a round corner peeking out from behind a bush, others stand, completely open directly on the water. For guests with dogs, the campsite has come up with something. Your sleeping barrel is not only slightly larger than the others, a wooden fence also prevents the four-legged friend from escaping.

On the way on Meck-Poms waters - Road trip times differently

A vacation on a raft is almost like a road trip - shorelines, reeds and sea grasses determine the routes, water traffic regulations ensure a carefree coexistence and parking is not allowed everywhere. A decisive difference is the comfort factor, because here you move exclusively at walking pace.

How the road trip on the water should look, everyone can decide for themselves. How about, for example, an adventurous day trip on a raft that you have built yourself beforehand? Or would you prefer a vacation lasting several days in a heated house raft?

Whatever it may be, there are many rental stations for the raft adventure, for example at Lake Schwerin or at many places in the Mecklenburg Lake District.

The Kunterbunthof - Nature Glamping

In Züsow, a small village between the Baltic Sea and the Sternberg Lakes, lies a creative retreat, the Kunterbunthof. On the three-hectare site, in addition to a barn where cultural events are held and other accommodation, there is a blue and a red yurt.

The yurts, which measure about 20 square meters, are the epitome of glamping, an abbreviation for "glamorous camping". From the outside they look like a big tent, inside a fireplace, a homemade bed and rattan furniture provide coziness. On cloudless nights you can watch the stars through the glass dome. By the way, the yurts are made exclusively of wood, virgin sheep's wool, glass and canvas and are held together only by ropes.
