With the Müritz and more than 1000 other natural inland waters, Central Europe's largest closed lake area - the Mecklenburg Lake District - is located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Good connection by train: There are InterCity and ICE connections to Berlin from all over Germany. From there, Neustrelitz near the Feldberg Lakes can be reached in just over an hour and Waren an der Müritz in a good hour and a half.
